Starting from School Year 2020-2021, applications to introduce, renew or suspend special diets for medical reasons and alternative diets for ethical and religious reasons may be only submitted online on the website www.dietescuole.it.

Before submitting an application, users must sign-up on the website and read the instructions carefully.

Users do not have sign-up a second time to make changes or updates to an application already submitted. If you need to make changes or updates, simply login with the same Username and Password, and fill out a new application that will cancel and replace the previous one.

APPLICATIONS FOR SPECIAL DIETS FOR MEDICAL REASONS

Who can apply

Users who suffer from food allergies, intolerances or metabolic diseases, or who require special diets for health reasons.

How to apply

When signing up, please carefully read the instructions, click on "Request diet", fill in all the fields and click on "SUBMIT APPLICATION".

All applications must include copy of the certificate of the pediatrician/doctor stating the diagnosis and the list of foods to be excluded from the diet.

For all users (students, teachers and other school staff), the medical certificate is valid for two school years, i.e. for the school year in which it is presented and the next one. After this period, the application must be resubmitted, attaching a new certificate.            

Only for chronic or persistent diseases (gluten intolerance, diabetes, etc.), the application and certificate are valid for the entire school course (five years for primary schools, three years for junior secondary schools).

In addition, applications for a special diet should always be submitted:

• at the beginning of a new school course (primary school, junior secondary school);
• if the user changes school, specifying the new school institution (whether the user is a student, teacher, or other school staff).

For users who have to resubmit an application upon expiry of the medical certificate, please remember to submit the documentation by and no later than 30 September 2019 to avoid suspension of the diet.

APPLICATIONS FOR ALTERNATIVE DIETS FOR RELIGIOUS AND ETHICAL REASONS

Who can apply

Users with specific dietary requirements dictated by religious reasons or lifestyle choices.

How to apply

When signing up, please carefully read the instructions, click on "Request diet", fill in all the fields and click on "SUBMIT APPLICATION".

The application is valid for the entire schoolcourse (five years for primary schools, three years for junior secondary schools). Please remember to submit the required documentation by and no later than 30 September 2020.

In addition, applications for a special diet should always be submitted:

• at the beginning of a new school course (primary school, junior secondary school);
• if the user changes school, specifying the new school institution (whether the user is a student, teacher, or other school staff).

For teachers and other school staff, applications for alternative diets are valid for an unlimited time, except if the applicant changes school, in which case a new application must be submitted, specifying the new school institution.
